Andrew Weatherall

Andrew Weatherall (1963-2020) was a British DJ, record producer, and remixer, known for his influential role in the development of electronic and dance music. Emerging from the acid house scene in the late 1980s, Weatherall became a pivotal figure in the UK’s rave culture, blending genres such as house, techno, and indie rock. One of his most notable works is the remix of "Loaded" by Primal Scream, which played a crucial role in the band's landmark album "Screamadelica" (1991). His production work extended to projects like the collaborative album "A Pox on the Pioneers" with the band The Woodentops and his own music under various aliases, including Two Lone Swordsmen. Weatherall's impact on music is profound; he was known for his eclectic taste and ability to fuse genres, influencing countless artists and DJs. He also founded the record label Rotters Golf Club and hosted numerous radio shows, further showcasing his deep knowledge and passion for music.
